I Do-Engagement Session/Dallas Photographer

This session was all kinds of awesome. I have "known" Janet for a while now. She buys hair bows and tutu's from my other business Pennie Baby Boutique, but this is the first time I got to converse with her. We talked about weddings, our kids, photography.... everything! She was so sweet and so easy to talk to. We could have sat around talking all day if it wasn't so cold outside! lol This was my first time shooting at this location so I wasn't too sure what was out there, but she was awesome enough to be up for challenge!

She met her soon to be hubs at the Rodeo so they wanted to take some pictures of him in his gear, which I think made for great photos and memories!!

{Side Note: We shot this session on a Thursday, so I had to bring my little Sophia along. She did pretty good considering she's normally ALL over the place. lol And I absolutely LOVED that while I was looking into my camera working with my clients, Sophia kept saying "I love you mommy" Totally made my day better! =)....}

So here  are a few shots from this session. Enjoy!

A little Motivation for the week...

Is it Friday yet?!??

Oh man, this week has been a little hectic and it's barely Tuesday! I've been potty training Sophie (well done potty training, I thought) but we are having to "re-asses" the situation. The girls birthday party is this Sunday as well so I need finish getting things prepped for that. Along with edit session from last week and make new bows for my boutique.

I don't know about ya'll, but I need a little motivation to get me through this week! A little "Motivational Monday" Blog post.......on a Tuesday ;0)

 Happy Tuesday Everyone!!

The Ostegiun's/Mckinney Photographer

I got the amazing opportunity to head out to McKinney this past weekend and shoot with this amazing family! They were so awesome, and super sweet & their boys are just too handsome!!
We spent the morning driving around chatting and searching for super cool spots to snap a few photos. I was so excited to be out there, not only to meet this family but to explore the area. They had some awesome locations spotted out before hand!! I absolutely loved photographing The O family. They were super nice and easy going which is always a recipe for a successful session!!!

Derek & Zack

First off this session was not only special to me because its my first, but it was also incredibly special because I met their mom in a photography class when I first began this little venture. We sat next to each other and chatted about aperture, and white balance. I even used her as my test subject for the shutter test. ;)

So, last Sunday I had my first official session!! I've second shot with a friend of mine before, but THIS...this was my first official session by myself!
My first official session shooting as "Nicole Arbaiza Photography"!!
side note: my last name is pronounced: "Ar-bi-za". Spell check always thinks I must have misspelled my last name, and everyone I have meet says "Ar-ba-za", so just thought I'd give you an extra little 411 ;)

Sooooo.... Oh yes, the session...
From the moment I woke up I was super excited to be shooting these 2 guys.

Once I arrived, I was a little bit nervous feeling. "What if I'm just snapping away like a crazy person, and don't get any good shots!?" or "What if I'm so nervous I'm boring?!?!" OR "What if I act like a crazy person trying to get a good smile, and they all think I'm nuts!!?". Well that all went right out the window once I met these guys!! They were so laid back, and funny. They made the whole session such  a breeze!! Zack was so funny the entire time. He gave me the funniest faces every time I tried to take a picture of him. It made us laugh, which made him laugh & helped me get great photos! Derek was so awesome! When we went to a new spot to take pictures he already knew what poses they should do, or would help Zack pose for the picture. (So you can thank him for most of these awesome shots!!!) These 2 weren't only brothers but you could tell they were the best of friends. Which if you have kids of your own, you probably dream of! They had such a great bond, it felt truly blessed to capture this for them.

This session was amazingly awesome, and just the perfect session to start out my new venture! I can't wait to meet even more clients. I am thankful for the new route my life has taken and even more thankful to have such amazing clients already!

Here's a couple more great shots from this session.
(Don't forget to check out the last photo of the pretty awesome hand shake these guys have!)
Enjoy!
